Well, congratulations, you're through to The Last Thing. Actually, we should have called it Two Last Things, because there are two activities we want you to complete before you can claim to have finished.

Activities:

1. Find a Web 2.0 application that you think could be useful in either your work or private life. It would be best to avoid using tools that require any software downloading. Use the web pages below, but don't feel restricted to them if you want to go hunting elsewhere. Blog about the tool you have found. Recommend it to the others on this course.

2. If you were given complete freedom, what would you do with what you've learnt? Would you set up a Twitter account for your library? Would you start your own company using Web 2.0 technologies? Would you run courses for your friends and neighbours? Or would you ignore the whole thing and hope it all goes away? Write this up in your blog.

NOW: You've finished! Your next step is to let your course supervisor know. If you've been doing this independently, (in other words you don't work for a local authority which is rolling out the course), and you work for a UK public library, you need to email your name, job title and the address of your blog to virtuallibrary@surreycc.gov.uk. If you've been doing this independently and DON'T work for a UK public library - pat yourself on the back!

We hope that this course has encouraged you to explore the potential of Web 2.0 and to think about new ways of delivering or promoting library services. We also hope you got something out of it for yourself.

And one last message for you to take away: it's important to PLAY!
